Giles was raised in England, converted to Christ in Australia, became a missionary in the Philippines, and then married Silvia from Brazil where they now live with their four children.

 

As well as working as a missionary evangelist, he has planted and pastored local churches. He founded TGM to help local churches to grow and to raise a new generation of evangelists. 

 

He also participates in the supervision of the Vine Church, a church network with over 1,300 churches and over 350,000 members.
